Beginning November 2026, we’re thrilled to welcome you to Resting Feather Ranch for a unique opportunity to experience Hana's Horse Encounter along with our cherished Horse Sanctuary in a refreshing way. Home to eight incredible horses — five full-sized and three minis — each with their own unique personality and story, Resting Feather Ranch offers an intimate, guided Horse Tour focused on fostering connection, compassion, and the remarkable bond between humans and horses. During your visit, you’ll engage in enriching horse interaction activities, meet our herd, and uncover their individual tales. You'll delve into equine behavior, care, and rescue while enjoying meaningful moments connecting with the horses. Experience guided connection and mindfulness sessions, paired with light snacks and refreshments in our tranquil ranch setting. No prior horse experience is necessary; just bring your curiosity, an open heart, and perhaps a pair of boots. ❤️ Choose between a Daytime Horse Encounter or a Sunset Horse Encounter to enjoy a distinctive Resting Feather Ranch experience.
Participation and Safety
Hana’s Horse Encounter takes place at a working ranch and includes close interaction with horses and other animals. Horses are large, free-thinking animals, so the safety and comfort of both our guests and our herd are always our priority.
Participants must be able to understand and follow instructions from our horse handlers, remain aware of their surroundings, and safely navigate natural and uneven ranch terrain.
Closed-toe shoes are required. Guests must follow all instructions provided by staff and should never approach, feed, touch, or enter an animal’s space without permission.
Participants may not be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs during the experience.
If you have mobility limitations, a disability, medical considerations, allergies, or other needs that may affect your participation, please contact us in advance so we can determine how we can safely accommodate your visit.
All animal interactions are guided by our staff and may vary based on the horse’s comfort, behavior, weather, and ranch conditions that day.
We never force an interaction — our horses are given a choice, too.
For safety reasons, staff reserves the right to modify or discontinue an interaction when necessary to protect our guests, staff, or animals.
All guests must sign a waiver before participating on site.

Once we receive your request, we’ll contact you to confirm your reservation, provide directions to the ranch, and share helpful details so you know exactly what to expect before your visit.
Space is limited and advance reservations are required.
All guests must be 18 years of age or older.
$50 per person — payment is due in cash at the time of your encounter.
